International Christian University (ICU) has decided to cancel the 2020 Summer Courses in Japanese as a result of careful consideration of the current situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to all students who have applied to the program and greatly appreciate your understanding and support for our difficult decision.

Thank you for your interest in the 2020 Summer Courses in Japanese (SCJ)

Before beginning the application procedure, please take time to read our catalog carefully, so as to determine whether or not the courses we offer match your own needs and goals. Please note that our courses are extremely demanding and academic in orientation. Activities such as part-time work and extracurricular travel are not recommended while students are studying in the program. It is essential that students be in healthy condition both physically and mentally. Students are requested to conduct various activities in pairs or groups during classes to improve their communication skills. Applicants should make every effort to ensure their application and supporting documents (including Application and Screening Fees) reach the appropriate offices as listed in the catalog before the deadline. For more information, please read the course catalog which is linked below. Good luck to you as you make your future academic plans.

*SCJ applicants should be 18 years old or above and currently enrolled as degree-seeking students in, or have graduated from a college or university as of the beginning of the courses, and have an academic interest in Japan. Senior high school students cannot apply for the Summer Courses in the year of their graduation. However, students who are admitted to ICU starting September 2020 may apply.
