The Summer Courses in Japanese, which began on July 5 (Tues) and lasted for 6 weeks, ended on August 16 (Tues). In 2016, 102 students from 19 countries were enrolled in the program. This intensive six-week course provides classes for both non-native and native (heritage) speakers of Japanese, where students can increase their understanding of Japanese language and culture. During the 6-week course, students not only studied Japanese language but also Japanese culture, and experienced sado(Japanese tea ceremony), traditional Japanese dance, and even had a chance to make Japanese-style cloth sandals.
